Bedtime or anytime stories for young and old. Real life adventure stories from a life spent as a pastor, outdoorsman, back country wilderness guide, ocean kayak tour guide, climbing instructor, motorcyclist and paramedic. Everyone makes mistakes in life, but not everyone learns from them. You'll be captivated by the adventures, but you'll relate to the profound lessons taught by a God who forgives and uses our joys and sorrows, and our successes and failures to form us as people. Each story concludes with a life lesson, a comment on the character of God, and a prayer every child and adult can embrace. Perfect for a bedtime story or a glimpse back on life the way it used to be. This book can be read as a collection of devotionals, serving as a springboard to discuss real life topics and struggles. Printed with a larger font, and wide spacing, 'Magpies, Motorcycles, and Mukluks' is the perfect book for children to learn to read from, or Seniors to comfortably peruse. Original illustrations at the beginning of each chapter add depth of meaning and engage the imagination. Start by reading one adventure, but don't be surprised if the pages seem to turn by themselves. Enjoy volume one, there's more to come
