My father, George K.B. Asante is a Ghanaian American, born and raised in Accra, Ghana, by a close-knit family. As a young man, he worked as a family support liaison, across regional lines in some of the most remote areas in Ghana. He later lived and visited several European countries, and currently resides in the United States. He is the kind of man whose love speaks loudest through his actions, deeply kind, exceptionally patient, a thoughtful listener, a God-fearing husband, and a devoted father. He is married to Cynthia Asante, and they have raised three children: Gerald, Beryla, and Lorenzo with love, strength, gentleness, and understanding. He holds an associate degree in civil engineering. And currently works as a Utility Damage Prevention coordinator in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. However, his greatest wisdom comes from a lifetime of experience in marriage, an accumulative journey of growth, and intentional choices that influence relationships, circumstances and events. My father is the most intelligent, articulate, and funny man I know, with a heart that has guided our family through every season. What is more remarkable, is how he has built a home grounded in love, safety, patience, and purpose. I have witnessed the way he loves and treats my mother with unwavering consistency, leading with understanding, praying his way through life's challenges, not perfect but faithfully.
This book is a reflection of the same spirit; insightful, and honest, offering hope, clarity, and the basis of a well-functioning marriage. My father invites readers into a meaningful conversation about "Filling The Cracks To Bond" The Essentials for a healthy marriage. As you read his words, you will grasp what we've been blessed to experience all our lives : the comfort of wisdom, and the strength of truth.
His Beautiful Daughter,
-Beryla Asante.
