Daktar: Diplomat in Bangladesh is the powerful, enthralling story of a brilliant surgeon skilled in diplomacy, Dr. Viggo Olsen. Propelled from a carefree Nebraska boyhood into the operating rooms of noted hospitals, Dr. Olsen rejects a remarkable opportunity in academic surgery to serve suffering East Pakistanis half a world away. When war strikes, he rejects evacuation to treat the injured and face a killing, burning, raping army. Read the inside story of those dangerous days.
