Tre Ore: The Seven Last Words of Christ: A Choral Contemplation

      Product Description

From the composer: The Tre Ore, or the "Three Hour Agony." This tradition of the Church is to give seven homilies, one on each of the Seven Last Words of Christ. They are typically presented over the 3 hours between noon and 3 o'clock on Good Friday, the time Jesus hung on the cross. When I was first introduced to this in 2017, I was so moved that I composed the seven movements of this acapella piece. It's completely different from anything I have written in over 30 years.
