When a loved one is experiencing the vestiges of a deadly disease, it is difficult to observe and to know what to say to the individual. How do we minister effectively to people who are faced with extremely health challenges? As Pastors, we are called to provide comfort and compassion.

Healing in the Midst of Brokenness shares the life experiences of the author. It is the story from an active participant and observer’s perspective—that of a daughter and her mother, who had been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. The author, an ordained and educated Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, shares her experience and those of her mother within this book with the hope that the material provided will assist other Ministers and people, in general, who have the need and the desire to be close to their loved ones when they are going through difficult times, particularly, nearing the end of their lives.

This book provides some oversight from learned scholars and practical guidance to the reader. It can serve as one of many positive resources to aid the reader in his or her ministry to close family members, as well as others.
