This is the story of a young widow who allows herself to become dispirited after the loss of her husband. A neighbor, Joan, had helped her when she first lost Daryl. The Shrines of Manitoba is a story exposing that evil exists, but God will turn the evil into good for those who have faith in him. It is not that the evil will be turned into good, but that God will use the situation for good in the lives of those who love him.
