    Product Description

The Sugar Creek Gang's school gets a new teacher-a man. And that spells trouble. When their old teacher shows up to surprise them with a midday sleigh ride, things start looking up for the boys. Until Bill Collins throws a snowball that accidently hits Mr. Black, the new teacher. Learn the importance of self-sacrifice as Little Jim offers to take Bill's punishment, even though he doesn't deserve it.

My son devoured the Sugar Creek Gang.

I bought this story as a Christmas present for my son when eight. At first he didn't take to it as he was begining the transition to books without pictures and also smaller print. Fast forward six months and he picked it up one evening and then couldn't put it down. I've bought another two and he's devoured those too over a couple of nights bedtime reading. He's asked for more in the series now.
