Here is an expanded, edited and updated edition of Finney's_Views of Sanctification_first published in 1840. This new volume includes Finney's_Letters on Sanctification_which appeared in the_Oberlin Evangelist_, and also includes articles by two professors who worked with Finney at Aberlin College, James H. Fairchild and Henry Kowles.

_Principles of Sanctification_presents Finney's understanding of what it means to live in proper relationship with the Trinity. The Bethany House book edited by Timothy Smith entitled_The Promise of the Spirit_includes Finney's sermons on sanctification published prior to 1840; this volume contains messages on the subject which were published during 1840.

This book will help the reader to a clearer understanding of the doctrine of sanctification and to Finney's theology.
