The book of Lamentations is something many of us may be hesitant to engage with. These prayers recorded for us in Scripture record Jeremiah's laments for the people of Israel. In them, we find a voice for our own laments and frustrations. These devotions walk through the book as we receive permission to bring our sorrows to God in prayer even as we trust in Him for ultimate deliverance. We find echoes of our despair that are followed by whispers of the hope we have in the Gospel.
