A new translation of a spiritual classic for a new generation of believers.Mother Basilea Schlink phD (1904-2001) was the founder of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary, Darmstadt, Germany. A prolific writer with translations in over 60 languages, she continues to touch countless lives with her love for Jesus and prophetic insights into the ways of God.

"High up in the Himalayas a copy of Mother Basilea Schlink's autobiography reached me and my colleagues in a dark hour. Initially we were regarded with favour by the authorities and our service was under God's blessing. Then all of a sudden we found ourselves having to give up our work and leave the country. What had happened to all the promises God had given us? This book was the answer in that heart-searching time." Switzerland.

Revised edition with epilogue. Formerly published in the UK under the title A Foretaste of Heaven
