What is the big deal about Christ? How is he distinctive from everyone else? What is it about this Nazarene from two thousand years ago that still compels people to follow him?

In the Only Jesus Bible Study, bestselling author and pastor Max Lucado explores what makes Jesus so unique. He reveals that Jesus' deeds were different, his words exceptional, and his claims unparalleled from any other person in history. Of all the people to walk on this planet, he is the only one to live before time, create a universe, appear on earth before his birth, and have his life described before it began. He is the only one to leave heaven and become human, speak with the authority of God, defeat disease and death, lead a sinless life but die a sinner's death, and vacate his grave. He is the only one who will oversee the universe, return to reign and rule forever, and who truly loves every person in the world.

Jesus is the single most important person to ever live. He is not just the main event in the Bible, he is the only event! And, critically, he wants to be our friend, Master, and Savior. The one we turn to in the dark of night. The one we run to when we're low on life. Jesus wants us to make the heart-stopping, eye-popping, jaw-dropping realization that in him we are a part of something ancient, celestial, endless, unstoppable, and unfathomable. The Jesus story has nothing to do with quick fixes, favors, or dashboard figures. It has everything to do with an assertion. Christ, who can sculpt Everest with his pinkie, knows us and thinks we are worth dying for. It's outrageous, unless it's true. Jesus is everything we could hope for.
