Genesis: A Verse by Verse Study

The Book of Genesis is a book of beginnings. It contains God's promise of a safe end for us all; the promise that we can base our lives upon and it contains the knowledge of good versus evil.

The goal of this book is to bring us a better understanding of God's Word; to help us realize the peace and the love that comes with giving God first place in our hearts through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

When God created this world, He knew what would happen. He knew that man would sin. But God wanted to give us freedom of choice. He wants a family that loves Him and wants to be with Him. That's why He put a plan in place to help us overcome the penalty of sin.

God's Word, and the study of books like this, help us to grow stronger in the knowledge of Him. The more that we understand, the more we will tend to make Jesus Lord over.

As you read this, you will come to understand how to walk in faith instead of fear. You will also come to know God through Jesus in a greater and more understanding way.
