The Modern New Testament from Aramaic by George M. Lamsa is a landmark work that bridges the gap between ancient Eastern culture and the modern reader. Because Aramaic was the native language of Jesus and his disciples, this translation offers a unique window into the cultural and linguistic context of the early Church. Dr Lamsa draws upon his lifelong familiarity with the Aramaic language and Middle Eastern customs to provide clarity on passages that may be difficult to interpret through a Western lens. This edition is perfect for Bible students, pastors, and anyone eager to discover the nuance and depth of the New Testament in its original tone. By stripping away centuries of interpretive layering, this text helps you hear the words of Scripture with fresh ears. Whether you are conducting academic research or seeking a deeper devotional connection, this translation brings the ancient world to life, helping you understand the heart of the Gospel message as it was first spoken in the time of our Lord.
