In this compelling work, Michael S. Heiser invites readers to reconsider the narrative of the unseen realm and its impact on the mission of Jesus Christ. Reversing Hermon takes a scholarly yet accessible approach to the often-overlooked connection between the book of Enoch, the rebellion of the Watchers, and the triumph of the Gospel. By examining these ancient texts, Heiser reveals how the ministry of Jesus was not just a historical event, but a direct counter-assault on the spiritual forces that sought to subvert humanity. Readers will be challenged to look past familiar church doctrines and engage with the fuller, cosmic dimensions of the biblical story. This book acts as a roadmap for understanding the spiritual warfare mentioned throughout the New Testament, helping you see the purpose of Christ’s ministry through a fresh, deeper lens. Perfect for those who feel that the typical cultural presentation of the faith is missing pieces, this study provides the missing context needed to grasp the true authority and scope of the Messiah’s work. Prepare to have your understanding of spiritual warfare and God's sovereign plan significantly expanded.
