Can you recognize a false doctrine when you hear it? The Apostle Paul wanted to warn the believers in Galatia of a false doctrine they were being taught. Judaizers wanted the Christians to add strict adherence to the Law as a part of their beliefs. No way, says Paul. He clearly demonstrates the Biblical reasons why the Law is not \"good news,\" nor the way of salvation. He then expands his discussion to show that when we depend on the Law, any law, we are trusting in our own fleshly abilities (\"Look what I can do \"). God wants us to notice Christ and to trust in Him (\"Look what My Son did for you \"). God is not interested in the psychobabble of the day or in human efforts or achievements. Paul\'s message to the Galatians is highly relevant to the false gospels being advocated which promote fitness, success, wealth or fame. Paul discusses the Gospel of Christ in regards to salvation, and he also applies its precepts to our daily lives in every segment and nuance of living.
