Cook (PhD, 1986) is Ordinary Professor of Semitic Languages at the Catholic University of America, where he has taught since 2008. He is the author of Biblical Aramaic and Related Dialects: An Introduction (2022) and Dictionary of Qumran Aramaic (2015). He is the co-author, with Michael Wise and Martin Abegg, of The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation (2nd ed., 2005).
