Daniel Carroll R has produced an up-to-date and comprehensive introduction to one of the most important books of the Old Testament. He introduces the reader to the study of Amos in several ways, tracing the history of research into the book and pointing out profitable directions for future study. He also provides an anthology of readings that illustrate the multiple ways Amos has been analysed and appropriated, followed by a set of bibliographies to serve as guides for the reader's own research.
