About the Book:

The Mount Sinai Text is a book to help one understand the divine commandments of God. These are popularly known as the 10 Commandments. The 10 Commandments were formally given to the Jewish people after their exodus from the bondage and slavery by the Egyptian Pharaohs for 400 years. Once they were freed, their leader Moses was directed by God to bring them to the base of Mt. Sinai where they waited while Moses ascended the mountain to meet with God. God then wrote the 10 divine laws of morality and ethical behavior for the people to pass down throughout the generations immutable to this day.

Most people have heard of the 10 Commandments but only 40% of Americans can name only 5 of the 10. Only 14% can name all 10. For the most part, the 10 Commandments do not play an important part in people's everyday life.

The Mount Sinai Text was written to teach the importance of the God's 10 Commandments. It explores each commandment with an in-depth discussion regarding the deeper meaning of its intention. It is my attempt to awaken the awareness of one to understand what God expects of us as his creation. This is not a long book, and if read, by the end one will have a complete understanding of the 10 Commandments and how they can change ones life for the good.

The 10 Commandments provide us a roadmap for Christian living. It is not just some rules written for Jewish people 4000 years ago but continues to be pertinent today. Foremost, the 10 Commandments will bring us closer to God and to our fellow man. As Jesus told us when he walked the Earth, "If you love me, obey my commandments" (John 14:15). The word of God has not changed. The Bible's existence is evidence that his words are eternal. The Mount Sinai Text are the most important laws ever given to mankind.

About the Author:

After accepting Christ as his savior in his late teens, Oscar Johnson spent the next 30 years studying science and philosophy in an attempt to justify his belief. After writing on topics of Eternal Life, Evolution, Is God real, Justice, and Genesis, he came to the realization that the Word of God is an infallible source to answer all questions if you believe.

Oscar Johnson has studied and taught philosophy and has advanced degrees in medicine and science. His PhD in Bioethics gives him a unique perspective on life and cultures.
