In this significant academic contribution, James R. Edwards offers a masterful commentary on the opening book of the Bible. Rather than treating Genesis as an isolated text, Edwards explores its reception and interpretation throughout the New Testament, illustrating how the foundational themes of creation, covenant, and humanity are woven into the gospel message. This volume provides a comprehensive analysis that is both academically rigorous and deeply theological, making it an essential resource for pastors, scholars, and serious students of the Word. By tracing the echoes of Genesis from the first chapters of the Old Testament to the fulfilment seen in Christ, Edwards helps you see the structural integrity of the biblical canon. Whether you are preparing a sermon series on Genesis or seeking to deepen your personal study of how the New Testament authors utilised the Torah, this work provides the clarity and depth you need to understand the big picture of scripture. With a scholarly yet accessible approach, Edwards sheds light on the interplay between the ancient text and the early Christian faith, demonstrating the lasting relevance of Genesis for today's church.
