When is Lent 2021?
Lent is a period when Christians prepare themselves for Easter by setting aside time to pray and focus on Christ’s life and death. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending 40 days later, many people use Lent as a time to give up vices in their own lives. Often chocolate or Social Media, as well as other luxuries. This self-denial is used as a chance to reflect on Jesus’ own sacrifice for us.
In 2021 Lent begins on the 17th of February, and finishes on the 3rd of April.
If you’re looking for a way to learn more about Lent, Easter, Christianity and why Jesus came to earth in the first place, be sure to check out our guide to the new Lent Study guides available from us today. Watch our new video to discover even more about the Lent season.
Spiritual Growth
Long overshadowed by the celebrations of Easter Sunday, Lent is being rediscovered as a sacred time of reflection and renewal in its own right and a time of preparation for the joyous seasonal finale.
