Keswick Convention 2025 Roundup – Transformed
From 12 July to 1 August 2025, thousands gathered in Keswick, Cumbria, to celebrate the 150th Keswick Convention under the banner theme “Transformed”—an exploration of how Christ reshapes us now, continually by His Spirit, and in the hope of future glory.
Convention Overview & Theme
Held over three inspiring weeks, Keswick Convention 2025 offered a fresh biblical focus each week, all unified by the powerful theme of transformation:
- Week One (12–18 July): James – Bringing Back the Badly Behaved
- Week Two (19–25 July): Colossians – Transformed
- Week Three (26 July–1 August): 2 Corinthians – The King Transformed
With an anticipated 12,000–15,000 attendees, including vibrant children’s and youth (19–24s) tracks, this was set to be the largest gathering in Keswick’s long history.
📖 Weekly Breakdown
Week One | James: Bringing Back the Badly Behaved
Bible Reader: Andy Gemmill guided morning sessions through James:
- Trials and Maturity (James 1:1–21)
- Faith in Action (James 1:22–2:26)
- Taming the Tongue (James 3)
- Worldly Wisdom (James 4)
- Perseverance and Prayer (James 5)
Seminar highlights included:
- The Holy Spirit and His Ministry – Sinclair Ferguson
- A Transformed Vision for Retirement – John Wyatt
- A Transformed Walk: Enjoying Personal Devotions – Linda Allcock
Evening Celebrations featured teaching from Jeremy McQuoid (John 14: Our Hope and Dependence), along with contributions from Sinclair Ferguson, Ellidh Cook, Ian Coffey and others.
Family-friendly moments included Bizarre Bible from 4Front Theatre, mission exhibits in Base Camp, and worship led by the Phil Moore Band.
Week Two | Colossians: Transformed
Bible Reader: Tim Chester delivered morning Bible readings in Colossians:
- Transformed Through the Word and Prayer (1:1–14)
- Transformed in, Through and For Christ (1:15–29 & 2:1–15)
- Transformed by Loving and Looking (2:16–3:7)
- Transformed in Community for Mission (3:8–4:6)
Seminars featured:
- The Great Story and the Great Commission – Chris Wright (Main Tent)
- Confident Christianity – Andy Bannister
- Intimacy and Faithfulness – Ed Shaw
Evening sessions explored the life of Peter in the early church with powerful contributions from Amy Orr‑Ewing, Matt Searles, Chris Wright, Ed Shaw, and Paul Mallard.
Week Three | 2 Corinthians: The King Transformed
Bible Reader: Dane C. Ortlund led a moving journey through 2 Corinthians:
- Looking Up (Christ) – 2 Cor. 3:1–4:6
- Looking Ahead (Heaven) – 2 Cor. 4:16–18
- Looking Around (Togetherness) – 2 Cor. 7:2–16
- Looking In (Weakness) – 2 Cor. 11:30–12:10
- Looking Everywhere (Trinity) – 2 Cor. 13:14
Key seminars included:
- How God Transforms Us – Steve Midgley (Main Tent)
- Parenting in the Digital Age – Katharine Hill
- Whole-Life Discipleship – Mark Greene
Evening Celebrations centred on living a gospel-shaped life, with powerful teaching from Ray Ortlund, Sam Allberry, and Mark Ellis.
Week Three also brought a joyful celebration of Keswick’s 150th year with the 150 Party, concerts by EMU Music, family entertainment from Awesome Cutlery, and the vibrant Keswick Unconventional After Hours showcase.
Community & Mission Focus
Throughout all three weeks, the Base Camp Mission Exhibition offered global connections, while Mission+Plus created spaces for practical mission engagement. Parallel youth and children’s tracks ran consistently, nurturing young faith and building intergenerational fellowship.
