A Special Year

This year's Greenbelt carries extra significance: 2026 will be the final festival at Boughton House, as Greenbelt begins its search for a new permanent home. The theme — "Let It All Go" — feels perfectly fitting for a moment of release, gratitude, and forward momentum.

What to Expect

Greenbelt is where exceptional arts, courageous activism, and open-hearted belief come together. Expect a rich programme of music, comedy, theatre, dance, spoken word, film, spirituality, workshops and big ideas — all in one extraordinary summer weekend suitable for the whole family.

The 2026 line-up includes a remarkable breadth of contributors, from globally renowned activists and theologians to poets, musicians, comedians, and community organisers. Below we spotlight some of the Christian speakers and contributors whose books you can find in our Greenbelt Festival 2026 department.

Shane Claiborne is a prominent speaker, activist, and bestselling author who worked with Mother Teresa in Calcutta and founded The Simple Way community in Philadelphia. He heads up Red Letter Christians — a movement committed to living as if Jesus meant the things he said — and is a passionate advocate for ending the death penalty and stopping gun violence. His books include the beloved classic The Irresistible Revolution and Rethinking Life.

A longtime Greenbelter, Pádraig Ó Tuama presents the acclaimed Poetry Unbound podcast from On Being and recently joined the faculty of Yale Divinity School as Professor in the Practice of Spirituality. His writing weaves together theology, poetry, and peacemaking with rare warmth and precision. His books available at Eden include In the Shelter, Daily Prayer with the Corrymeela Community, and Being Here: Prayers for Curiosity, Justice, and Love.
