Essential Resources for Church Leaders

We think Church leaders are amazing! Your passion and commitment to leading the people of God is inspiring. You’re multi-taskers with big hearts who have a million and one thing to think about at all times: sermons, assemblies, church meetings, funerals, weddings, baptisms, bring and share lunches, prayer requests. I could go on! You really are fantastic!

Here’s 5 top tips for helping you to ease the load:

1. 1. A great support network - Whether it’s a superstar Parish Administrator, a mentor who’s seen you through thick and thin, your spouse or even your dog, you need a team (four-legged or otherwise) behind you. To lift you up when you’re feeling low and cheer for you when you’re on a high!
   
   
2. 2. Decent coffee - I should admit here, that I’m actually a tea drinker. But having spoken to a lot of Church leaders it seems coffee is the beverage of choice! But whatever your drink choice, make it a good one! Put the kettle on and enjoy that warm hug in a mug!
   
   
3. 3. A quiet spot- It’s so easy to be on the go. To rush from one appointment to the next, working through the to-do list. But it’s so important to stop. To have some time for yourself to reflect, recuperate and spend time with God. Pick a spot: a chair, beanbag, park bench, for a daily moment (or ten) of tranquility.
