No 56 in the Veggietales catalogue, this follows the well-loved path trodden by the Veggie gang since 1993 when the first VHS episode was released. In this episode ‘disco rules OK’ we are transported back to 1975 with the Groovy Brothers (Bob and Larry) performing songs in a (very) similar vein to the Bee Gees.
The story is about friendship and forgiveness. Laura Carrot and Junior Asparagus set out to save Celery Park from the nasty developer Bruce Onion (voiced by Terry Crews). However they have a fall out, much like the Groovy Brothers who fell out 38 years before. Things look bleak for the park until, eventually the Groovy Brothers make it up together and hold a reunion concert to save the park and Laura and Junior set aside their differences and forgive one another.
There are six new disco flavoured songs in this episode plus the inevitable ‘Silly song with Larry’ – “Perfect Puppy”! A winning formula continues strongly; my grandchildren agree.
