Tom Wright is a man with two names and a lot of hats. Also writing under N. T. Wright, Tom Wright is an author, scholar, theologian, professor of New Testament and Early Christianity and retired Anglican bishop.
As the author of over 70 titles, he is highly regarded for his work on Paul. Alongside this, his ‘For Everyone' series of New Testament studies and commentaries was completed in 2011, opening up the books of the New Testament for a new audience. The Bible for Everyone, written in conjunction with John Goldingay, is a new full Bible translation first released in 2018.
With books that appeal to general readers, small groups and academic readers, there is a lot to gain from getting stuck into the books by Tom Wright.
In this provocative and wide-ranging book, Tom Wright outlines the present confusion about future hope in both church and world. . , and shows how the 'second coming' of Jesus, and the eventual resurrection, belong within that larger picture, together with the intermediate hope for 'heaven'.
