In the fast-paced world of 2026, finding a moment of true stillness can feel nearly impossible. Between the noise of digital notifications and the weight of daily responsibilities, it’s easy for the heart to become cluttered with "what-ifs" and worries.
When anxiety feels overwhelming, the most powerful thing you can do is put pen to paper. Writing out God’s Word in a dedicated Christian journal doesn't just record the truth - it helps anchor your soul to it.
If you’re feeling restless today, open your faith-based notebook and slowly write out these 10 verses. Let each stroke of the pen remind you that you are not alone.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Journal Prompt: What is one specific "petition" you are handing over to God right now?
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Journal Prompt: Describe a time God upheld you in the past. Use this as fuel for your faith today.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Journal Prompt: What "burdens" are you currently carrying that were never meant for your shoulders?
"I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears."
Journal Prompt: Write down three fears you have today. Cross them out and write "Delivered" over them in bold letters.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Journal Prompt: How does God’s peace feel different from the "temporary peace" the world offers?
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
Journal Prompt: Imagine yourself physically handing your worries to Jesus. What does His face look like as He takes them from you?
"When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy."
Journal Prompt: Even in the midst of stress, what is one "consolation" or small blessing God provided today?
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Journal Prompt: Where are you going today (or this week) where you need to remember God is already there?
"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
Journal Prompt: In what area of your life do you need more "power, love, and self-discipline" right now?
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Journal Prompt: Set a timer for two minutes. Sit in total silence. Then, write down what it felt like to simply "be still."
Writing scripture is different than just reading it. It’s a form of meditative journaling that slows your heart rate and focuses your mind. When you use a scripture journal specifically for your mental health and spiritual growth, you are building a personal library of God's promises.
If you are looking for a new space to record these verses, our Hand-Designed Christian Notebooks are created with premium paper to ensure your quiet time is as beautiful as it is restorative.
