      Product Description

This book originated on the steep slopes of Umbria, inspired by the ideas of the thirteenth century visionaries Francis and Clare of Assisi, who promoted dialogue in forms that were well beyond the conventional norms of their day. Drawn by their inspiring visions for open and dynamic exchange, which have fuelled the work of countless others since their day, an ecumenical and interfaith gathering: 'Where We Dwell in Common - Pathways for Dialogue in the 21st Century' took place in Assisi in April 2012, organized by the Ecclesiological Investigations International Research Network. There, over two-hundred and fifty people were gathered from more than fifty-five different nations to explore the prospects for ecclesial, interreligious, and faith-world dialogue for these times. This volume presents highlights from this historic gathering and invites readers to become involved as the conversation continues. Where We Dwell in Common offers Christians from every tradition ways to engage in active and constructive dialogue and resolution-seeking with their ostensible doctrinal "opponents."
