TV Star - Archie Book 1

TV star? is the comical story of a boy called Archie who always seems to get into trouble, He loves football, hates school, has an interesting collection of friends, is dreading the move into Year 4 after the summer holidays and can't quite understand how the stories in the Bible fit in with his life today! However, for Archie surprises are afoot, and the autumn term sees him not only beginning to enjoy the year, but also visiting a TV studio to star in the school Christmas play!

However things are never straight forward and lead to a hilarious and sometimes moving story. The book follows Archie through the highs and lows of school life as he and his friends learn that God loves them just the way they are.

"This book is very good and easy to read. It made me laugh a lot and when my dad read some of it to me we both laughed a lot. I have read a lot of books that are about being a Christian but it was really good to read one that was funny but made you think about God as well. I liked Archie's friends and I liked the tarantula. I liked the Sunday school teacher because he seemed funny and seemed to like children. If there were other Archie books I would read them all and get my friends to read them too." - Peter (aged 9)

Author Rebecca Parkinson lives in Lancashire with her husband and their two children. As a teacher and the leader of the youth and children's team in her church, she loves to pass the Bible stories on to others in a way that everyone can understand.
