There Is Still More

Whatever stage we have reached in our Christian life, the Bible tells us that there is always more to discover and experience. Paul wrote to the Philippians that he was always straining towards what lay ahead and the Bible is full of similar encouragement to press in and experience more of God.

- Are you hungry to experience more of God’s presence?
- Do you feel guilty about continually asking God for “more”?
- Don’t we already “have it all” in Christ?

In answer to the last question, Mary Pytches contends that potentially we do – yet most of us do not enjoy the riches that are ours by right as a child of God – a bit like the millionaire who chooses to pursue a meagre existence, never drawing on the vast resources available to him. But Jesus clearly taught us, “Ask and it will be given you...” and it would seem that God likes hungry followers because He also said, “Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance.”
