In 'Facing Lions' teen and preteen readers are introduced to the faith heroes of the early Christian Church. These are the men and women who bravely lived and died in the truth of Christ revealed to them by God's Spirit, in The Word and in the witness of the saints around them.

Thanks to them we have stories and examples of what it means to stand for Christ when faced by persecution and even lions!

The Bible says that the devil, who is the adversary of all Christians, prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. He wants to bring down God's people whenever he can.

So here young readers meet some of the men and women of the early church who stood up to this lion and his followers. They faced down persecution and stood up for the truth of Christ.
