Find Out MoreDig Deeper by Andrew Sach; Nigel Beynon was published by Inter-Varsity Press in May 2010 and is our 14743rd best seller. The ISBN for Dig Deeper is 9781844744312.
I have been a Christian fast approaching three decades and yet I cannot deny that the Bible remains a difficult book to understand. Sure there are parts of it that are so simple that even a child can explain them. But to know the Bible well, to know how it all fits together, to know how it applies to me all these years after it was written, requires dedication, hard work and skill. Though there are many books that teach how to dig into the Word and to learn from it, many do so in a way that is difficult to understand for new Christians or young Christians. This is a book to help you understand the Bible correctly and comprehensively.
While acknowledging the place of pastoral leadership and Bible scholars, the authors want to resource the individual Christian to know that God has equipped them to understand the Bible privately. The format is straightforward and the tools offered here, are very clear.
The book is to be understood as a kind of toolkit with each chapter adding another tool to the set. Each chapter has many examples and illustrations from the Bible, with accompanying exercises to deploy these new helps. Dig Deeper offers sixteen "tools" readers can use to get to the bottom of any Bible passage and discover its intended meaning.
