Lynn is a teenager who was forever hopeful that he could learn to get along with his critical mother, do well in high school, become good friends with a pretty girl named Sara, and play football despite being blind in one eye and forbidden by his mother. A certain bully in his high school has targeted him to ridicule him "for fun," and after Lynn asks Jesus Christ to take control of his life, he wants to help the bully. He is "Forever Hopeful" that God will use him in that way and in all of his life.
Paul E. Vander Wege, author of this book, was raised in Holland, MI. He graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and earned a Master's at Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa. After teaching fifth and sixth graders for 35 years, he became interested in writing. His wife, Judith, a long time freelance writer, helped him with this work by critiquing and editing. Paul died in February 2022.
