Storage and Preparation

Storage: Always store candles horizontally on a flat surface. Keep them out of direct sunlight and avoid extreme temperatures to prevent warping or cracking. It is recommended to use candles within two years of purchase.
Initial Setup: Ensure the candle is held firmly in an upright position and that the holder is placed on a stable, level surface.
Trimming the Wick: Before lighting, check that the wick is straight and not twisted. Trim the exposed wick to approximately 1/2" (12mm) if necessary.

Lighting and Relighting

Best Practice for Lighting: Use a lighting taper to expose the full wick to the flame. Avoid using matches or paper, as these can drop debris into the wax pool and cause burning issues.
Relighting: Always ensure the burning pool is clear of foreign materials (like match heads or wick trimmings) before relighting to avoid secondary burning. Avoid moving the wick from its established burning shape.
Low Flames: If a flame is abnormally low, extinguish the candle. Once the wax has cooled, carefully pare down the top of the candle until enough wick is exposed.
