Award-winning artist and songwriter Mac Powell (Third Day) announces his new album, I Love Jesus. After a nearly three-decade career as the lead singer with the GRAMMY Award-winning band Third Day, Powell released his CCM solo debut in 2021, New Creation. This album produced the hit radio singles "New Creation" and "River of Life." When he began working on this new project, he wanted to return to basics. The album is filled with three and four-chord songs that remind the listener of what God has done in our lives and remind us of the love of Jesus and our love for him.

Powell continues, "With I Love Jesus I wanted to return to the simplicity of what I do. The gospel is a simple truth and I wanted to share that in simple songs that remind us of what God has done in our lives and remind us of the love of Jesus. I believe this is some of my best work and songs and I can’t wait to hear the stories of how these songs impact people's lives."
