The Great CO-Mission has received a request for a worker to help one of our Partners in Mindanao, Southern Philippines. The ideal candidate would enjoy working with children and have a lot of patience. The children and young ladies have had traumatic experiences. Women and couples are encouraged to apply, though men also can apply, there are different restrictions to accommodation arrangements and activities, which they might participate. The ideal candidate would be able to offer 6 months or more, although candidates will be considered for shorter times if they can offer their service. Candidates who have a desire to teach and disciple young people in the Christian Faith would be preferred. The Host organisation is under the direct appointment of the Government of the Philippines; due to this fact a police background check will be required for all candidates, both Filipino and International applicants must pass these checks before approval. Additionally some clearance of health may be requested by the Host organisation.

The Great CO_Mission is looking for a volunteer to work with local churches in Church planting activities. The Ideal Candidate should be willing to work with local Pastors, attending house groups and outreach activities. The role can be from 60 days up to 3 years duration and may be used as part of a Ministerial training programme-if requested. A sound understanding of Salvation and related scriptures is essential, as well as an ability to show love to people from all areas of society, including the poor and needy. Some form of Ministry experience, training or outreach is preferred but not essential. A willingness to work under the direction of the local church is essential, to learn cultural differences and apply theological understanding to relationships and situations. Trustees work collectively with fellow board members, the Chair, and the Chief Executive to provide governance, support, and thoughtful challenge, enabling the organisation to thrive. As a Trustee, you will bring your perspectives, skills and expertise to key decisions and strategic discussions. Trustees share responsibility for governance, setting strategy, overseeing risk and ensuring that decisions are made in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries. We usually have three scheduled online meetings, and one in-person meeting a year with other ad-hoc meetings as required.
