Stockethill Church of Scotland, Aberdeen, are seeking a Congregation Leader for their emerging Family Church congregation. The successful candidate will do the work of a pastor-teacher, evangelist and leader within the context of a small church plant aimed primarily at young families in a diverse neighbourhood. They will have the opportunity to build on successful ministry and to be creative in their approach to discipling adults and children with little or no church back ground whilst forming a church community. As part of the wider Stockethill Church family, they will work with committed volunteers and a supportive church leadership. THE UNITED BENEFICE OF CHRIST CHURCH STONE & OULTON WITH MODDERSHALL Children’s and Families Worker. Based in Stone, Staffordshire, from Autumn 2026. ‘Committed to following Jesus. Commissioned to make disciples’. We are a United Benefice of Anglican Evangelical churches who are praying for a committed Christian with some experience in a Bible-based ministry, to join us in making disciples amongst young people. Site Evaluation: Coordinate (and occasionally conduct) site visits to assess the physical viability of the proposed project. Financial & Risk Analysis Feasibility Studies: Analyse project budgets, procurement estimates, cash flow projections, and the church’s ability to service potential financing. Risk Assessment: Identify potential “red flags” in construction timelines, local planning disputes, governance structures, Faculty, CIL. Benchmarking: Ensure that build costs per square meter align with current UK/EU industry standards using BCIS. Impact Assessment Mission Alignment: Evaluate how the proposed project serves the local community and advances the church’s mission. Church support: Assess support within the church community for the project over the long-term. Stakeholder Management Applicant Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for churches, guiding them through the information-gathering process with empathy and clarity. Committee Reporting: Prepare concise “Investment Memorandums” for the Openwell leadership team to facilitate final decision-making. Person Specification Experience – Background in one of: surveying, property development, banking, or charity finance. Technical Skill – Proficiency in analysing financial statements and property-related legal docs. Communication – Ability to communicate to both church leaders, technical experts and the senior leadership team. About us Youth for Christ Gloucestershire has been in existence since 1974. We seek to see young people's lives changed by Jesus. In a world that never stops changing, we are continually adapting our ministry to address young people's challenges. We work in schools, running Christian Unions, evangelistic after-school clubs, taking assemblies and mentoring young people. We run an annual residential and support numerous churches. We support churches setting up evangelistic youth ministry and run a termly evangelistic event in Gloucester.
