Job Summary: Key Workers meet regularly 1:1 with a predefined group of residents and support their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and work through a mutually agreed personal development / support plan. They take an active role teaching a curriculum within a classroom setting that is developed to equip residents with life skills and insights required for successful living.

Main Responsibilities & Duties: • Participate and contribute in meetings and decision making. • Provide support and supervision to the residents, helping them to address the underlying issues surrounding their substance misuse. • Maintain a 1:1 advisory relationships with an identified group of residents through regular meetings. • Maintain accurate and timely records. • To assist residents in developing their personal development / support plans in pursuit of identified personal goals and to oversee the implementation of such plans. • Assist in planning preparation and move on strategies for residents. • Public Speaking / Teaching. • Engage in the wider range of activities undertaken by the Charity in pursuit of its objectives. • To provide leadership in the completion of activities in a given area of responsibility within the Centre’s operations. • Work on a rota basis including sleepovers and weekends. • Willing to participate in personal development and training opportunities. • Uphold all policy and procedures, particularly health and safety requirements. • Any other duties which might reasonably be required by the Centre Manager.

The successful applicant should be part of a local church and have an active Christian faith. They will provide a role model of personal effectiveness, discipleship and encouragement to the residents as they undertake a life-changing programme.

Applicants should have a current driving license.

Accountable to: Centre Manager, Hope House Hours: 37.5 per week, on a shift system Annual Leave: 28 days per annum
