Lead Secondary Teacher with English Specialism Maranatha Christian School, Sevenhampton – Near Swindon, Wiltshire
Start date: September 2026 (or earlier by negotiation) Contract: 12 month fixed term (with the possibility of becoming permanent) Salary: Dependent on experience Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm, with reasonable flexibility for a small‑school setting At Maranatha Christian School we are seeking to build a Christ centred school that forms young people in wisdom and character as well as academic excellence. If you are called to shape a culture, disciple young people and help craft something beautiful for the next generation, then MCS may be for you. We are looking for a vision driven Christian leader who thrives in shaping culture, developing people, and building an excellent KS3–KS4 provision grounded in biblical truth and high academic standards. Your leadership will influence how young people encounter Scripture, truth, and Jesus as they grow into confident and compassionate adults. This is a rare opportunity to help craft the future of a growing independent Christian school. Rather than fitting into a rigid system you will have space to shape a learning environment and to prepare children for the world ahead. Why Maranatha? • A warm, relational Christian community where faith is central to school life. • Small class sizes that allow genuine pastoral care and tailored teaching. • A committed staff team passionate about discipleship and academic excellence. • A school with space for you to bring your ideas, build a curriculum, and influence a whole school culture. • Supportive leadership and trustees who value innovation, prayerful decision making, and long term school growth.
