Stockethill Church of Scotland, Aberdeen, are seeking a Congregation Leader for their emerging Family Church congregation. The successful candidate will do the work of a pastor-teacher, evangelist and leader within the context of a small church plant aimed primarily at young families in a diverse neighbourhood. They will have the opportunity to build on successful ministry and to be creative in their approach to discipling adults and children with little or no church back ground whilst forming a church community. As part of the wider Stockethill Church family, they will work with committed volunteers and a supportive church leadership. This is a three-year full-time post (with the possibility of extending) with a starting salary of £32,251 p/a, funded by the Church of Scotland’s Seeds for Growth Fund and the Presbytery of the North East and Northern Isles. CMC Adventure:- Pensarn Harbour Redevelopment Project - Trustee opportunities The Christian Mountain Centre has obtained planning permission for the redevelopment of our Pensarn Harbour residential site in Eryri (Snowdownia) National Park. Since 1966 CMC has been providing high quality residential outdoor education courses and we have a vision to redevelop our habour side accommodation into a state of the art outdoor education centre - securing vital opportunities for spiritual growth and personal development for generations to come. We are aware that the project will be complex and costly, but the board and management are convinced that we have been following God’s leading in the planning of this project. Award Winning Snug Architects, with the approval of the board, have engaged a Quantity Surveyor to work out costings for the project, and invite tenders from contractors. The plan is to set up a sub-committee which will meet online on an ad hoc basis and will report to the full board of trustees. This will, we hope, make the process quicker and more efficient. It will also allow the board to focus on the considerable operational challenges that only having our Bryn-y-Moel site available to guests. If you know of any people who have the relevant skills and experience of large scale project management, who could join the board on a voluntary basis during the project please pass this information on to them.
