This is an exciting shared role across Phase Hitchin and Christchurch Methodist and United Reformed Church. The purpose of this role is to support and inspire young people across school, church and community settings. You will strengthen wellbeing, create safe spaces for faith exploration and build consistent, positive relationships with young people in Hitchin and the surrounding area.
The role is structured so that approximately 45 percent of your time is invested in Phase school and community delivery, 45 percent in Christchurch youth ministry, and 10 percent in shared partnership activity that strengthens collaboration across the town.
You will join two aligned, supportive teams committed to helping young people thrive.
The role is one coherent calling working across two aligned organisations, who already work closely together. Christchurch is a Methodist and URC ecumenical partnership with over 200 members based in Hitchin, North Hertfordshire. Phase Hitchin works in over 17 schools, alongside young people to build their resilience. Phase’s offices are located in the Christchurch building, allowing the postholder to work as part of a small team and work across the two organisations.
