GodVenture Sticker Advent Calendar

Each Advent Calendar includes: A4 calendar which opens up to reveal an A3 picture inside 40 stickers which tell the Christmas story a mini-book with the whole Christmas story from the Bible As always, you add one sticker each day and the stickers tell the story. You can read that day's section of the story from the mini-book which comes with the calendar.

This year, the mini-book contains the WHOLE Christmas story straight from the Bible, including the stories of Zechariah & Elizabeth, and Simeon & Anna! This means there are some longer sections of text, but it has been divided up so that on most days you have about 80 words to read.

Some of the longer speeches / song by the angel Gabriel, Mary, Zechariah and others have also been illustrated, as you will spot in the stickers, and various images of light has been used to appear when something extraordinary is happening!

See how many you can spot, along with the poo-ing animals! The story book uses the NIrV version, as it's a very accessible version especially for emerging readers, while being very close to the ever popular NIV.

This year, the sticker and story section of Jesus being born is on Christmas Day, and the stickers and story continue after Christmas, to give space for the visits from the shepherds and wise men, as well as the temple visit where we meet Simeon and Anna. This, plus one extra sticker, gives you 40 stickers and story sections, taking you through the Twelve Days of Christmas up to Epiphany, traditionally when the visit of the Magi is remembered. As many families are more busy before Christmas than after it, it makes sense to have more story to explore when life is maybe a little less frantic.
