The best way to explain this book about the Kingdom of God is with a parable. Jesus used a lot of parables when He explained the Kingdom of God to the multitude. A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. Here's the parable: there's a girl thirteen years of age, a promising tennis player. Her father is a Master Plumber who started up his company, Mobile Plumbing Incorporation. Her father has been training his daughter since birth to be the number one tennis player in the world: the Grand Slam tennis champion! He wants his daughter to be number one in Wimbledon, the US Open, the Australian Open, and the French Open. After a long day on the job, the father arrives home and notices his home engulfed in flames and almost burned completely. Seeing this fire did not stop the father from rushing into the home, knowing his daughter was there asleep. Not for one second was he concerned for his own life. The father saved his daughter's life, sustaining 85% third-degree burns in his successful quest to save his daughter, who suffered no burn damage. After spending three days in ICU in a coma, the father awakens, asking where his daughter is. After twelve months of recovery, the father's business, Mobile Plumbing Incorporation, starts to flourish, and his daughter continues to dominate on the tennis court. Even though the daughter is very grateful for her father risking his life for her life, she will never ever forget the love her father showed her through his actions to rescue her. The father's will, purpose, and plans never changed for his daughter, and as a result, her love for tennis even increased. They frequently look back on what happened and celebrate life and love! We should never ever forget what Jesus Christ did, He died for us so that we might live for Him and fulfill the Father's will for our life. The Father's plan for us before birth was Genesis 1:26-28; we were created in His Image and likeness, which means God knows our capabilities. In verse 28, there is a kingdom mandate to God's Royal Children, "then God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion" (Kingdom)! Because Jesus went through the fire of the cross, and death, his original purpose (will) has never changed from Genesis 1 for His Royal Children to have Dominion (Kingdom).
