Grace is at the heart of the Christian message. It is also, as this volume seeks to demonstrate, the message in the hearts of men and women living religiously around the world. "Of Human Bondage and Divine Grace" is an attempt to bring together different religious traditions, from around the globe, on the theme of divine grace. It comprises 20 papers by 12 scholars, discussing the Hindu, Buddhist, Ancient Greek, Jewish, Shinto, Greek Orthodox, Moslem, Roman Catholic, and Protestant conceptions of bondage and grace.
