This book is written for people in Christian ministry, either full-time, part-time or lay people. It is our goal to choose and to finish well, so this book helps us to go between the lines to see what Jonah needed to know to finish well. Those of us in ministry can resonate with some of the dilemmas that Jonah faced and perhaps learn from his mistakes. It's true, we have not been swallowed by a big fish, but some of our life's challenges have felt similar. We have all felt at one time like fleeing to Tarshish or even felt so exhausted in our ministries we wanted to quit.
