The premise of this dynamic new study of the person and work of Christ is that contemporary Christology must be done within the ecclesial context of knowing and following Christ. In other words, Christ can only be adequately “learned” in authentic discipleship. It is an all-encompassing process involving both heart and head. Prayerful worship and obedience must be conjoined with thorough historical and theological exploration to access the full biblical portrait of Jesus. There could be a no more promising endeavor for the enrichment of one’s spiritual life and for the empowerment of the church on her end-time mission.
