It is possible to teach or preach the gospel of Jesus Christ using only the Old Testament. That is because Christ is so thoroughly made plain throughout. We have attempted to prove this point in three stages. First we see the extent to which God has gone in order to give us a "picture" of Jesus from the beginning. In archetype is displayed God's amazing oversight of the Bible. There is a rich portrait of Old Testament patterns, types and allusions which point to the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. In Part II we see Christ in form or Christophany, usually referred to as the appearance of The Angel of the Lord as the pre-incarnate Christ. In Part III we review prophecy of the coming Messiah. Taken together, Christ in type that we may understand, Christ in form that we may see, and Christ in prophecy that we may believe, these evidence the single promise-plan of God for the salvation of mankind through His Son.
