Could she accept the fact that she was indeed dying a very slow and painful death? Discovering that she was HIV positive on top of another chronic disease turned Patricia Opio's life on its heel. It was a crushing revelation and sparked off a never-ending journey to finding out who she was in this quagmire we call life.

She was introduced to the fragility of life with numerous attempts to define herself according to society and culture. It was a colossal failure; the darkness took over and she did not know if the light would ever shine again.

This is Me delves deep into the journey of transformation which Patricia undergoes, just like a butterfly that goes through a great deal of darkness but still becomes beautiful. It highlights her attempts to stop resisting the realities of her story and start embracing it.
