The exciting and relatively new field of feminist ethics challenges traditional moral theories and practices, particularly those that focus on justice and rights. Feminist ethicists emphasize the importance of the context of moral decision making, rather than abstract moral reasoning. The result is a reinterpretation of such concepts as moral agency and altruism.
