Each chapter ends with a set of chapter endnotes illustrating for the reader the research the author accomplished to confirm the diverse views of theology he describes. A significant portion of his work is backed up by ideas and quotes recorded by C. S. Lewis, a favorite of Christians the world over. His message and writing are clear, often entertaining, and as I read each word, I was moved to a clearer understanding of my own perceptions and feelings of the Gospels and my gratitude for the atonement offered each of us through Christ.
