These sermons were not originally crafted for the printed page. They were preached in real time, in a real place, to real people-people who came week after week seeking a word from the Lord. They were delivered in the rhythm of worship, surrounded by the sounds of praise, the echoes of "Amen," and the movement of the Spirit among a congregation that loves God and honors His Word. In the literal sense of the term, these sermons come from "The Mount"-Mount Neboh Baptist Church-where I have had the privilege of serving as Pastor. Spiritually, the title calls to mind those elevated moments when God lifts us higher in understanding, deeper in faith, and closer in relationship to Him. Just as Moses stood on Mount Nebo and looked into the promise of God, and just as Jesus delivered His timeless teachings on a mountainside, these sermons seek to lift the reader to a higher place-where God's truth can be seen more clearly and embraced more fully.
